Forest Engineer and Technical Specialist in Environmental Impact Assessment by the Politechnical University of Madrid. Currently, he is taking PhD courses in Forest Research. His position is Laboratory Technician in the Ecology Unit of the Forestry School (UPM).
 
He started his research activities between 2000 and 2003 working within the SISPARES project about land use and landscape changes in Spain. In the same area, he collaborated in the EU FP5 project Biohab. Then, he worked in the ECOPORF project, which attempted to apply landscape ecology to forest management. He continues developing both topics, collaborating in the DECOFOR project about landscape connectivity and forest management. Moreover, his interests include the relationship of great wildfires with landscape pattern, and its application to forest districts management.
