She is PhD in Forest Science by the Technical University of Madrid and lecturer of Silviculture and Afforestation at the Silviculture and Pasture Department of the same university. Formerly, she has been lecturer of Silviculture and Pastures at the University of Valladolid and researcher at the Forest Research Center of the National Institute of Agriculture and Food Research and Technology (INIA). Her main research interests are focussed at the dynamic, functioning and production of goods and services of Agroforestry Systems; she is specialized in Non Wood Forest Products at the Mediterranean region. She has published numerous research results in books, scientific journals, technical reports and outreach works. She is the main researcher of the ECOGESFOR research group since may 2012.
